Following in Thomas Mann's footsteps to the Magic Mountain: the journey begins with a train ride via Landquart and the spectacular narrow-gauge railway to Davos. From the town center, the route leads along the high promenade to the Waldhotel (formerly the Waldsanatorium and the inspiration for the Berghof International Sanatorium in the novel). From there, the Thomas Mann Trail ascends to the Schatzalp and Thomas Mann Square. Finally, the journey concludes with a ride on the Schatzalp funicular railway down to Davos.
