🇰🇭 Three Days of Deliveries in Cambodia – The Barge is Only Slightly Lighter, But Then Comes an Unexpected Joy! 🚢🌿 After three days of hard work delivering cargo at a port in Cambodia, Ngan’s barge has finally been lightened just a tiny bit! Looking at the remaining cargo, Ngan honestly doesn't know when the job will be finished so we can head back home. But hey, that’s life on the river—some trips are quick, while others involve long waits; you just have to stay calm, and everything will work out fine! Today, Ngan took the opportunity to tour the port—partly to see how cargo operations are handled here in Cambodia, and partly to watch my husband at work. I have to say, the port systems here are quite diverse! Some use suction chutes to move cargo, others use cranes, and in some places, workers handle the loading and unloading manually. Each location has its own methods and operational style—it’s fascinating to watch. It’s only by traveling around that you realize just how much there is to learn and discover in the inland waterway transport industry! In the morning, everyone was busy with deliveries, and the sound of machinery filled the air. But by afternoon, dark clouds rolled in and the rain started pouring. The rain slowed things down even more, and there was still plenty of cargo left on the barge. Long-haul trips certainly never lack surprises! Yet, amidst these days of waiting in a foreign land, Ngan found a little joy that I absolutely love: the mini-garden right here on the barge. Guess what? The apple tree Ngân planted is bearing fruit now! And the apples are impressively large—just look at them! 🍏😍 Watching the apples grow day by day brings Ngân so much joy. Surrounded by the river, having a lush green garden corner and trees I’ve tended to with my own hands—it feels truly peaceful and happy. I just can't wait for them to ripen so I can enjoy the fruits of my labor; I bet they’ll be delicious! Life on the barge has its tough days—unpredictable weather and long waits to finish unloading cargo—but sometimes, a simple joy like this is enough to make me love life so much more. Please join Ngân on this delivery journey to Cambodia! I wonder how many more days I’ll have to wait to finish delivering all the cargo this time? ❤️🚢 Kim Ngân – Barge Life on the River would like to thank everyone for your constant love and support throughout every journey!
