When All Else Fails were a Metalcore/Post-Hardcore band from Cincinnati, Ohio, formed in February 2009.
According to their surviving MySpace biography, the band formed in February 2009 and described their music as a fresh take on the scene, combining Metalcore with influences ranging "from metal all the way to jazz." Their stated goal was simply to have fun and share their music with the world.
The lineup documented on their archived MySpace page consisted of:
Marcus Barber – Vocals
Josh Sexton – Drums
Kyle Burnett – Guitar / Vocals
Samuel Morelock – Guitar / Keys
Brad Ferguson – Bass
This upload preserves Struggles Of The World, an apparently six-track EP from 2010.

Information concerning this release is extremely scarce.
A complete copy of Struggles Of The World was recovered through Soulseek. All six files consistently identify When All Else Fails as the artist, Struggles Of The World as the album, 2010 as the year and contain sequential track numbers from 1 through 6. The files are tagged as Post-Hardcore and contain matching artwork.
The folder also contained a surviving MySpace header featuring the same band photograph and artwork visible on the archived MySpace page for When All Else Fails, helping connect these files directly to the Cincinnati band documented here.
An old online music collection independently lists "When All Else Fails - Struggles Of The World [EP]," providing additional evidence that Struggles Of The World was indeed the title of a release and was circulated as an EP.
However, no surviving official band page has currently been found confirming the complete tracklist or an exact release date. For that reason, the 2010 date, six-song sequence and other information derived from the surviving files should be considered an archival reconstruction rather than fully verified official release information.
The surviving fourth track is titled "Pacton The Deceiver (feat. B.J. Stead of Miss May I)." This guest credit is preserved in the filename, but no contemporary announcement or official credit confirming the feature has currently been located.
Also included as a bonus is a cover of "Dead And Gone."
The surviving file identifies this recording as belonging to a "Demo 2010," but virtually no information concerning that demo has been recovered. It is therefore NOT being presented as part of the Struggles Of The World EP. The recording is included here as a bonus because it belongs to the same period and is preserved alongside the band's other material.
Fortunately, several of these recordings also survive through the band's old YouTube channel, @itswaef, which retains uploads including "Somalian Pirates," "Dramasterful Mutant Dinosaurs" and the "Dead And Gone" cover.
There is another band named When All Else Fails whose material is sometimes mixed together with this band's music online. That group was a UK punk/hardcore band active years earlier and released a split with Chillerton in 2003. Tracks such as "Stands To Reason," "Turning Point," "U.N. Peaceful Resolution," "Room With A View" and "Blood Red Sky" belong to that unrelated band and are not part of the Cincinnati When All Else Fails discography.
By 2012, When All Else Fails appear to have reached the end of their activity under this name.
On June 21, 2012, their abandoned Facebook page asked followers to support their "new band," Come The Dawn. Later that year, the same page promoted Come The Dawn performing at Madison Theater alongside Asking Alexandria, As I Lay Dying, Memphis May Fire and I the Mighty.
The old When All Else Fails Facebook page has since remained largely abandoned, while the name Come The Dawn has subsequently been used online by other unrelated artists, making the history of the original Cincinnati project somewhat difficult to follow through modern search results.
This upload is therefore an attempt to preserve what can currently be reconstructed of Struggles Of The World and the early material of When All Else Fails.
If you were involved with When All Else Fails, attended their shows, downloaded this EP from their original pages, or have additional demos, photographs, artwork, release information or corrections, please get in touch. There are still gaps in the history of this release, particularly regarding its original release date and the mysterious "Demo 2010."
