I have a soft spot for post-apocalyptic dramas, and with the added incentive of a Ridley Scott movie, I had to check out The Dog Stars. The movie is an adaptation of the popular novel of the same name by Peter Heller, and it offers insights into a world ravaged by a disease that has taken out a majority of the population. Now, there have been mixed reviews about the film, and understandably so because this is not exactly your typical action-packed end-of-the-world movie. I mean you do have a few tense moments and action scenes, but the story is more tilted toward the human side of the tragedy. But, what really caught my attention was that Mark L.
