One long take threading the stopped cabs past Hadestown, the W 47th crosswalk crowd, the NYPD officers crossing, then a custom-painted Knicks BMW parked in the middle of everything - the driver turns and gives me a thumbs-up, and I hold on the hood. Down the Broadway plaza past the barrier crowd, the taxi walls, the Escalade, out at W 42nd, then the bike lane to Herald Square where something very secretive is happening behind a scrim fence.
