It’s likely no one these days hears Ford and thinks of anything other than Bronco, but of course the Blue Oval has more than that. So I got myself into the Edge, to see what this midsize five-seat sport-ute is all about. The Edge is Ford's second-best-selling SUV, and it's a solid and pleasant performer for the daily commute. Two turbocharged EcoBoost engines are offered, and this particular tester was fitted with the base 2.0L four-cylinder rated at 250 horsepower and 275 lb.-ft. of torque. It's hooked up to an eight-speed automatic transmission, and while it's leisurely off the line, the Edge is smooth and comfortable.
