All Of Electrical Engineering Explained in 12 Minutes
Electrical engineering arrives as a stack of courses - circuits, electronics, signals, power, control - each with its own symbols, its own exam, and the quiet feeling that everyone who passed was told something you were not. What they were told is one sentence: every circuit ever built either carries energy or carries a message.
Daniel from Simplex Academy builds the whole degree from that sentence: push, flow and fight in one loop, then the capacitor and the coil, the transistor as a tap, signals as sums of waves, the fields that leave a wire as light, the motor and the transformer, and the grid that runs a continent as one machine. It ends inside a phone charger, where every course in the degree fits in a box the size of your thumb. No formulas to memorize; a battery, a bulb, a tap and a coil of wire.
In this video:
The one sentence that explains all of electrical engineering
The circuit - push, flow and fight, and the two rules that solve any circuit
Storing - the capacitor as a tank, the coil as a flywheel, and how a radio tunes
The transistor - one tap, two careers: switch or amplifier
Signals - why any wiggle is a sum of smooth waves, and what a filter does
Sampling - the "more than twice as often" rule, and why a CD measures 44,100 times a second
Electromagnetics - how a wiggling current leaves a wire as light
The correction: the energy is not inside the wire
Machines - the motor and the generator are the same object, in 3D
Transformers - why they only work while the current keeps changing, in 3D
The grid - why a hundred times the voltage means ten thousand times less loss
Control - measure, compare, correct: the feedback loop
Why a phone charger is the whole degree in one box
Why it was never ten courses
By the end, every course you were taught as a separate subject will answer one of two questions, and you will know why it felt like a stack of subjects.
