I Recreated Darrin’s Real Farm Truck in 1/64 Scale | GMC General Build

In this video, I take a 1/64 scale DCP GMC General and turn it into a replica of Darrin’s real GMC General that still works on their farm. The donor truck started life as a yellow and black DCP GMC General with a sleeper, but that wasn't going to work for this build. I removed the sleeper, stretched the frame about 1/4", and added one of my Rockin H CA22 grain beds to recreate the working farm truck. From there, it was all about the little details that make a replica feel like the real thing. I deleted the driver's-side air cleaner, modified a DCP Peterbilt front bumper, swapped the wheels for chrome two-hole Budds, and changed the exhaust to reflect updates being made to the real truck. Even the paint took a little detective work—I had to make my best guess to get the color as close as possible to Darrin's truck. That's what I enjoy about replica builds. It doesn't have to be a show truck to be worth recreating.
