Pipe bending and pressing a copper tap!

In today’s video, I’m going to be installing a new water main with pipework running behind the wall through a lot of wooden timbers to behind a sink unit where I’m going to be creating my own copper tap. For the hot water in this building, we’re going to be installed in an instant hot water heater which is like an electric shower which will provide hot water for the washbasins. There’s an outside tap to install on the outside of the wooden garage structure. So let’s put you down and let’s get Plumbing. I start off with drilling a new hole for the watermain blue poly pipe to go through being lagged with insulation. The pipework rises onto a stop tap with a drain off and connects in the wall to take an outside tap and continuing further to sink unit where it tees for the how water and through the wall for the sink. I’m using flexible plastic pipe from a company called Viega. This pipe is also called MLCP which is a metal barrier pipe. The paperwork stays in place if you bend it as it has a metal sheet on the inside which makes it super Ridgid and also avoids pinholes. I’m using the Ridgid 241 press tool for the copper Viega fittings as well as switching their head using the angled jaw set to get in tight areas well normal straight clamps can’t fit. Press fit allows me to pipe up without using any hot works which is great for insurance purposes and I think the quality of the fittings is formal superior than the actual pipe that we install. This has to be the future of Plumbing as it’s cleaner faster and should last a lot longer than copper in the future.
