Welcome back to Steady Steps on the Path. In today's video, I am taking you on an immersive, personal guided tour of one of the West's most beautifully preserved historic locations: the Grafton Ghost Town in Utah, located just outside Zion National Park.
Filmed just recently, join me as I explore the historic desert landscape and share my thoughts on early pioneer history. In this walkthrough tour, we take a close look at:
The main Grafton historical information signs and site markers;
The iconic 1886 Grafton Church and Schoolhouse building;
A detailed walk around the historic Russell Property and homestead grounds
A step inside the beautifully restored 1862 Russell Home structure to view the brick rooms, pioneer artifacts, and framed histories
The Louisa Maria Russell Home located directly across the road
I make sure to hold the camera steady on the official historical signs, plaques, and old photographs throughout the house (including the history of Mary Ellen and Frank Ballard's hand-powered laundry wash days and early subsistence farming). Please feel free to pause the video at any time to read the fascinating history directly from the walls!
Thank you so much for taking these steady steps with me today. If you enjoy stepping back into pioneer history, please hit the like button, leave a comment below with your thoughts, and subscribe to the channel for more peaceful historic walkthroughs!
