It's game four of the 1994 World Series. Yesterday we had a close game until the end, when we finally broke it open in the ninth. Liking this whole DH thing, having my three fastest players on the team hitting one-two-three. Will have to see if it works in the long run though. I had to change the lineup, as Neon was originally set to bat sixth. Probably not a horrible spot to bat, but with all baseball games (especially the ones where you can't improve attributes) I like to keep my fastest players at the top of the lineup. This is the 1994 playoffs which never happened due to the strike. Not exactly a baseball historian, but this would have been the first time in close to fifty years where the League Championship Series was to be played later. With three divisions, each division winner had a playoff spot, with the "wildcard" team which was the best non division winner to play each other. Perhaps this whole system came about from the year before where the 1993 Giants won 103 games which is basically two out of every three played and didn't make the playoffs since the Braves won 104. World Series VS Toronto, game 4 of 7* *Best of seven, first to win four wins the championship Here is our final record with the teams that we have finished all our games with for the season, and will be updated as each team is fully played: Florida Marlins: 12-3 St. Louis Cardinals: 8-4 Pittsburgh Pirates: 11-1 Chicago Cubs: 10-2 San Francisco Giants: 12-2 Los Angeles Dodgers: 12-1 San Diego Padres: 11-2 Cincinnati Reds: 10-3 New York Mets: 11-1 Montreal Expos: 8-4 Philadelphia Phillies: 10-2 Houston Astros: 12-1 Colorado Rockies: 11-2 Final Record: 134-28 Runs CPU have scored against me with two outs: Playoff Game 11: 0 Playoffs to date: 5 As I mentioned for the video back at game 90, Crime (and some of my pitchers) had their homerun counts reset to zero. So this space here is to keep track of the total HRs each have as they hit them. Crime HR count Pre-ASG glitch: 26 Season: 51 For anyone who has never played the game, here are a few quick details. It was released for the SNES in 1994, and while it has the MLB license, it did not have a players association (MLBPA) license. What this means is it features actual team names, logos and stadiums, it did not have real player names. Of course, you can figure out which player one is, based on their jersey number and stats from the 1993 season. Gameplay is fast paced, and very similar to the arcade versions of both Baseball Stars games. While it takes some practice to get used to, its not overly complex to play like the MLB: The Show games of today. If you get a chance to play, I highly recommend it.
