Heidegger and The Kyoto School

Because Heidegger understood the limitations of European technical language and the need to be open to the utterly other way of saying being and of letting the world appear. It was Heidegger’s lectures in the early 1920s which sparked the founding of the Kyoto school by Nishida and others. Nishitani was one of the main members of the School and also a student of Heidegger.
