A beautifully built balsa wing can be warped in minutes by careless shrink-film covering. In this video, I show how I cover lightweight open wing structures while keeping trailing edges straight and preventing unwanted twists.
I explain how heat, film tension, temperature, and uneven shrinking can distort delicate balsa structures. I also demonstrate how I verify the wing geometry, attach and shrink the film progressively, support the intended alignment, detect developing twists, and make careful corrections without creating new problems. If you want more practical guidance on avoiding common model aircraft building mistakes, subscribe to my channel.
