Another successful series from Stephen Bochco, 'L.A. Law' (1986) ran for eight seasons on NBC. A large ensemble cast dealt not only with law cases; personal relationships and hot-button issues combined with touches of humor kept audiences coming back for more. The show won 15 Emmys, including four for Outstanding Drama.
