One of the biggest highlights of the M2 Motorway begins near Kalar Kahar, where the landscape transforms into breathtaking hills and valleys, making the drive incredibly scenic. Unlike the busy GT Road, the motorway is free from slow-moving traffic such as Rickshaws, motorcycles, tractors, and animal carts, and other slow vehicles, which makes the journey much safer, smoother, and more relaxing. We also crossed several well-maintained motorway service areas, offering comfortable restaurants, clean restrooms, fuel stations, and places to relax before continuing the journey. Although we had to pay around PKR 2,000 in motorway tolls, the smooth drive, beautiful scenery, and world-class road infrastructure made every rupee worth it. During the journey, we passed numerous Motorway Police patrol vehicles, always present to assist travelers while ensuring traffic laws are followed by issuing fines to violators when necessary.
