Everyone knows he is a Christian. They know he will help. They know he will not retaliate. So they push him harder, give him more, and take advantage of his willingness to serve. But they misunderstand him. He remembers the words of Jesus. If they make him walk one mile, he walks two. If they give him one load, he carries two. Not because he is weak. Not because he is afraid. Not because what they are doing is fair. Because the first mile may be forced upon him. The second mile is his choice. Slowly, the balance of power begins to change. The people trying to break him realise they cannot control someone whose strength comes from within. Others begin to notice his character, trust him, and turn to him for help. And eventually, even those who mocked him begin to change. This song is about a different kind of strength. Not domination. Not revenge. Not proving you are tougher than the person who hurt you.
