Queen's Master Tapes and David Bowie's Microphones Are Here

Join me on a trip to Camden as I visit the brand new Live Odyssey exhibition celebrating 60 years of British music. From rare memorabilia to mind-blowing holograms, this was an unforgettable experience for any music fan. In this video, I head down to Camden with Pete Saxer from Unknown Sounds to check out the opening day of this unique celebration of British rock and pop history. We start the journey old-school with some 90s cassettes before diving into a treasure trove of music history. You will see incredible items, including Queen master tapes, David Bowie’s microphones, and original setlists from legendary shows like Wham’s final concert. One of the absolute highlights was the John Lennon section, featuring original artwork, a mockup of his childhood bedroom, and even art made from the cables used to record the Imagine album. We also spent time watching the live bands that perform throughout the day, creating a fantastic party atmosphere that really brings the exhibition to life. The most surprising part of the day was the Libertines hologram performance. It felt like being at a real gig with pin-sharp visuals and amazing sound. To top it all off, I had the incredible honor of meeting Julia Baird, John Lennon’s sister, who was there signing copies of her book. We wrap things up with an honest review of the venue, the organization, and whether it is worth the ticket price for fans.
