A peaceful day in our Iranian village garden 🌿🔥 Today, we head to the garden to prepare a delicious homemade lunch over a traditional wood fire. With fresh air, blue skies, and the sounds of nature around us, we make stuffed potatoes with chicken, mushrooms, onions, tomatoes, bell pepper, and melted cheese. Marina helps us pick fresh little tomatoes from the garden and prepare the ingredients. We wrap the potatoes and chicken in foil and cook everything over the hot fire. Then we stuff the roasted potatoes with chicken, mushrooms, vegetables, and cheese before putting them back over the hot coals until beautifully golden and melted. 🥔🔥🧀 After enjoying our lunch and a cup of hot tea in the garden, we continue working among the fruit trees. But then we discover something unexpected inside the damaged tree branches… 😱🐛 Some of the branches have been attacked by wood-boring larvae (Kerm-e-Kharat), so we remove the damaged branches and collect the plums before they are wasted. This is a simple day of Iranian village life, outdoor cooking, gardening, family time, traditional food, and peaceful moments in nature.
