Timbale Makeover: Weld, Sand, Paint!

Timbale drums are a staple of Latin percussion, but I have used them for accent drums in various music. In this video I took a pair of vintage chrome-over-steel timbales and gave them a makeover. New lugs and a switch to a modern tom holder was one improvement, and I also filled unneeded holes by welding. The final paint finish made a big difference in appearance.
