Far From Everything | An Ordinary Life

Far from everything, surrounded by so much. 🌿 Come along for a few ordinary days of life in the Scottish Highlands, where everyday life moves at a slightly slower pace. In this video, I’m sharing the quieter moments that make up life here in the far north of Scotland — cleaning and pottering around at home, getting out into the garden, walking the dogs and heading to the beach with a book while the kite surfers make the most of the wild Highland weather. I also chat about something I think a lot of mums can relate to: making time for yourself. Not waiting until everything else is finished or everyone else is taken care of, but finding small pockets of time to do something simply because you enjoy it. For me, lately, that has been reading. There’s a book review in this one too 📚, along with plenty of everyday Highland life, windswept beaches, dogs, gardening and those little moments in between. Living remotely in the Scottish Highlands certainly has its challenges. We’re far from cities, shops and many of the conveniences we once took for granted — but sometimes being far from everything is exactly what makes this life feel so special.
