I speak to a hair dresser who was a lovely man with a speech impediment, but after turning off the camera and talking with him privately he lost much of it and was quite relaxed. I accidentally dislodged a large handful of seeds from a spice merchant's stall sending them to the ground. When I went to compensate him for his loss he became offended saying to me "We are not beggars!" which made me realize I understand this social situation at all. I felt quite uncomfortable. A particular spice market in this part of Delhi is one of the largest in Asia, and walking around the many different sacks of produce Im overcome by the dense, heavy spice dust in the air making me cough and sneeze. I've never had such an overpowering experience where my sense of smell is concerned and I was forced to leave. This part of Delhi is a hive of activity with every conceivable type of merchant selling their wares and an enormous number of laborers supporting these industries.
