After a long and exhausting Day 3 in Bali, we finally wrapped up our adventures from Uluwatu Temple, The Edge, and Malini. We drove more than two hours through Bali’s winding roads until we reached our accommodation for the night — Kayangan Resort, a peaceful hideaway surrounded by rice fields and quiet village scenery.
We arrived tired, hungry, and ready to rest, so we ate our to‑go food from The Edge (yes… a lot of pizza). Since the resort serves breakfast at 8 AM and we were scheduled to leave at exactly 8, we decided to pre‑order our meals. The staff told us they could prepare everything by 7:45 AM, which was perfect for our tight schedule.
One thing we loved immediately was how lucky we were with our rooms — all of them were right around the pool, facing the beautiful rice fields. Even though the pool was already closed for the night, we promised ourselves we’d wake up early to enjoy it before leaving.
So the next morning, even with barely any sleep, we woke up at sunrise, changed quickly, and jumped into the pool. We took photos, danced, laughed, and made the most out of the short time we had. The morning light, the peaceful rice fields, and the quiet resort made everything feel magical.
Kayangan Resort was beautiful and relaxing, but you can tell it needs a bit more maintenance — some areas, like the toilet, were already worn out. Still, despite the limited time and the tiredness from the previous day, we enjoyed every moment. It was a short stay, but a memorable one.
