Panthers Keep Being Reported Across the Eastern US — And No One Can Explain Why

In 2018 the United States officially declared the eastern cougar extinct. Yet every year, from the Appalachians to the Ozarks to Michigan, people keep reporting panthers, and some of those reports turn out to be very real. One big cat was found on a Connecticut parkway carrying the DNA of a place nearly two thousand miles away. In this wildlife documentary we investigate the panther sightings of the eastern US: the mountain lions caught on camera in Tennessee, Missouri and Louisiana, the myth of the black panther, escaped captive cougars, the Florida panther, and the wandering cats walking east from the Black Hills. Apex predators, animals caught on camera and American wildlife that is quietly changing, told with real science and real biologists. Love wild animals, predators and the stories nobody tells?
