Herbert Howells’ “Requiem”: Worcester Cathedral 1982 (Donald Hunt)

From a BBC radio broadcast on 28 December 1982, with the choir of Worcester Cathedral, directed by Donald Hunt. Howells composed his Requiem in 1932 or 1933. It was intended for the choir of King’s College Cambridge but for some reason the music was never sent to them and the piece remained unknown until 1980, just three years before Howells’ death.
