Each Autumn, it is especially popular with Finns who travel there to witness the myriad orange, yellow and red hues of the leaves as they change colours, a period known in Finnish as 'Ruska' or 'ruska aika'. This is the second in a series of videos I made showcasing my Lapland adventures in this beautiful landscape at the beginning of October 2025. In this video, I hiked the Vuontisjärvi Lake to the Montell shelter. The sun was shining and the views and colours of the landscape were breathtaking.
