Whenever God wants to do something in a nation, He looks for His Church. We are His body on earth, and all authority in heaven and on earth was given to Jesus. He exercises authority in heaven, while we exercise it on earth. For God to intervene on earth, we must do something. The peace and prosperity of a nation are connected to our peace and prosperity. We are the watchmen; our nation is our responsibility. God is depending on the Church. However, many of us have neglected our responsibility of priesthood in our lives, families, churches, and nations. We must awaken to our priesthood responsibility, which translates from the family to the Church and ultimately to the nation. Genesis 1:28 — “Then God blessed them, and God said to them, ‘Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.’” God gave man dominion over the earth from the time of Adam, to rule on His behalf. However, this authority can only be maintained if man sustains a relationship with God. As long as man has strong fellowship with God, he is able to exercise dominion on the earth because the power, authority, wisdom, and everything required to exercise authority are locked up in fellowship with God. This is why Satan seeks to break and hinder the relationship between man and God. From the time Cain killed Abel until today, evil has continued to increase. Sin is an enemy of your relationship with God. Allow the fear of God to rule your life and stay away from sinful activities. Sin will destroy you. The first man failed, and the priesthood was disrupted because of sin. Exodus 19:4–6 — “You have seen what I did to the Egyptians, and how I bore you on eagles’ wings and brought you to Myself. Now therefore, if you will indeed obey My voice and keep My covenant, then you shall be a special treasure to Me above all people; for all the earth is Mine. And you shall be to Me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.” God called Abraham to raise a nation. He transferred the responsibility of priesthood from man to a nation. God did not deliver the children of Israel merely for their liberty, but so that He could bring them to Himself. God’s number one priority is to call you to Himself. When Jesus called the twelve disciples, He called them to Himself. Our number one assignment is priesthood, which is toward God, while kingship is toward men. You cannot effectively manage men if you have no connection with the One who created man. Priesthood connects you to God so that you can manage men and operate in kingship. For this reason, the devil fights your priesthood ministry. When your priesthood is broken down, you cannot effectively influence anything on earth; you cannot operate in kingship. All the earth belongs to the Lord. But what makes you different from the rest? You can only become special by walking in God’s will and purpose. There will be a special reinforcement in your life because you are a special treasure to God. Those who are God’s treasure are described in Psalm 50:5 as those who have made a covenant with God by sacrifice. These are people who have sacrificed their time, money, and other things to ensure that they stand in the presence of God and fulfil their primary ministry—priesthood. If you fail to stand before God, you will fall before the devil every day. Do not treat life in a carnal way; life is spiritual. How spiritual are you in the practices you are involved in? How much time do you spend advancing your spiritual life? Psalm 50:5 — “Gather My saints together to Me, those who have made a covenant with Me by sacrifice.” The big things of life require sacrifice. For this reason, when God wants to do something significant, He calls for separation. This is something costly. That is why the Bible says we carry our cross daily. The cross is not for decoration; it is where we die to ourselves so that God can begin His work in us. You die to what is yours and embrace what belongs to God. Revelation 5:10 You cannot reign on earth unless you operate in both priesthood and kingship. Unfortunately, many have neglected priesthood while chasing kingship. You derive the power to operate in kingship from your priesthood. We are on earth to bring heaven to earth. Wherever you are, your presence must bring a solution. Awaken to your priesthood ministry. 1 Peter 2:4–5, 9 We have a responsibility. God expects us to offer spiritual sacrifices to Him so that things can happen in our families and in the land. Unfortunately, many are not offering spiritual sacrifices. God called us out of darkness into His marvellous light so that we may proclaim His praise. This is the ministry of both priesthood and kingship. We use priesthood to influence the affairs of life.
