Happy January, friends! This year, I've decided to revisit a study I did back in 2022. I called this study "Wings," based on the "butterfly verse," 2 Corinthians 5:17, which talks about being a new creation in Christ. I also expanded the points of a sermon I heard in 2021, which described our identity in Christ as "Child, Citizen, Ambassador." I added "Bride" to the list and replaced "Citizen" with "Seeker." I then spent a week on each of those four attributes in February of 2022. But there's still so much more to reflect on and explore! Since my word of the year for 2026 is "meditate," I want to spend more time taking in and beholding the beauty of Scripture, so I decided to devote twelve weeks of this year to each of the four identity traits. As a part of this, I wanted to try sharing a very rough, unedited, real-time Bible study review series. As I'm studying and reflecting and learning for myself, I will come and share the things I'm studying and learning and reflecting on, like a friend sitting across the coffee shop table with you. I've seen a couple of these types of videos online and really enjoyed them. You'll be able to find these here on YouTube and on the Fangirl Fulfilled podcast on Spotify. So yeah! I hope you enjoy this series. I'm not tying myself down to a specific schedule or even the calendar year (since we're already three weeks in smh). We're just going to do our best to be consistent. Starting with 1 John 1:1-3, which is kind of the theme verse for the Child identity. Happy new year!
