2001 ALCS Game 3 Highlights | Seattle Mariners vs. New York Yankees

These are the highlights for Game 3 of the 2001 American League Championship Series. After a Game 2 victory for the New York Yankees, they now lead the series 2-0. The Yankees are hoping to take a commanding 3-0 lead in the series in order to bring them one game closer from clinching their 4th consecutive American League Pennant. They have Orlando Hernandez on the mound, and they hope that he performs very well in order to give the Yankees a Game 3 victory. The Seattle Mariners are now in a must-win situation. They are down 0-2 in the series, and are trying to win Game 3 to bring the series 2-1 and make them a game closer to even the series 2-2. They have Jamie Moyer, who has been so good for the Mariners throughout the postseason, and the Mariners hope that he doesn’t disappoint. SIDE NOTE: I apologize if the highlight footage changes from some parts of the bottom of the 8th inning to the 9th inning. I could not find game footage of one specific broadcast that had a good quality. The one that I was able to find cuts off in some parts of the bottom of the 8th inning.
