Is the dream trip worth the wait? I'm retired, and this is the trip I waited my whole working life for: 30 days in Greece. Stop 1 is Athens. Three days, one person, about €545 (about $625), not counting flights. In this video, I show you what to see in Athens in 3 days, the two places I'd skip, the one I missed, and what every single thing cost. That includes the Acropolis at first light, the Acropolis Museum, a street food tour, Plaka, Anafiotika, Psyrri at night, the Varvakios market, Areopagus Hill, the Panathenaic Stadium (home of the first modern Olympics), and the changing of the guard. ⏱️ TIMESTAMPS 00:00 Intro: 30 days in Greece, stop 1 00:52 Day 1: Airport, metro ticket, and where I stayed 01:50 Hadrian's Arch and the Olympieion (skip #1) 02:20 Syntagma and the Parliament 02:26 Street food tour 03:06 Night walk: Monastiraki, Plaka, Anafiotika 04:27 Day 2: The Acropolis at first light 06:57 Acropolis Museum 07:44 Daytime walk: the Agora and Monastiraki 8:13 Dinner and night in Psyrri 10:04 Day 3: Varvakios market and lunch 10:43 Hadrian's Library (skip #2), Areopagus Hill, and the hilltop path 11:43 Panathenaic Stadium 12:30 National Gardens and changing of the guard 13:20 Recap, what it cost, and next stop: Hydra 💰 WHAT IT COST (one person, estimates, late September 2026, not including flights) Rate used: €1 = $1.15 Day 1: about €190 ($220) Day 2: about €200 ($230) Day 3: about €155 ($180) 3-day total: about €545 ($625) Key line items: Apartment in Koukaki, 3 nights: €315 ($362) Street food tour: $66 (about €57) 3-day metro ticket (includes airport trip): €20 ($23) Acropolis tour: about €50 ($57) If you go on your own: Acropolis €30, Acropolis Museum €20 Panathenaic Stadium: €12 ($14) Coffee and pastry: about €7 ($8) a day Gyro lunch: about €5 ($6) Dinner in Psyrri: about €35 ($40) Lunch at Taverna Aris: about €30 ($35) Many prices are my estimates for one person, so yours will vary. 📍 PLACES FEATURED Acropolis and Parthenon, Odeon of Herodes Atticus, Propylaea, Theatre of Dionysus, Acropolis Museum, Arch of Hadrian, Temple of Olympian Zeus (Olympieion), Hadrian's Library, Hellenic Parliament and Syntagma Square, Monastiraki, Plaka, Anafiotika, Psyrri, Varvakios Central Market, Areopagus Hill, Panathenaic Stadium, National Gardens, Stoa of Attalos, Taverna Aris, Pagotomania 🎥 ABOUT THIS CHANNEL Join me, 360 Nomad, on my retirement journeys around the world with my 360 camera. 🔔 SUBSCRIBE:    / @360nomadsidney   ▶️ Next stop: Hydra, coming soon On day thirty, I'll answer the big question: was the dream trip worth it? #Athens #Greece #AthensTravel #30DaysInGreece #TravelOver50 #RetirementTravel #360Nomad
