A Frederick Jagel Recital (Boston, 1954)

From a 1954 recital at Jordan Hall in Boston, here is tenor Frederick Jagel with pianist Reginald Boardman. Jules Wolffers of the Boston Herald wrote "Singing a full and varied program, Mr. Jagel demonstrated his mastery of the art of communication. His evident love for his work and his understanding of the composers' intentions encompassed his hearers. As the evening progressed the audience was drawn closer and closer into unity with the artist and his music."
