Norman Osborn Commander Deck Tech - Your Discard Pile Is Your Hand

Norman Osborn is a two mana 1/1 that cannot be blocked, connives every time he connects, and flips into the Green Goblin for four mana - and once the Goblin is out, every nonland card in your graveyard has mayhem, so anything you discarded this turn can just be cast, for two mana less. EDHREC ranked him the number one commander in the game the month Marvel's Spider-Man launched, and 17,023 decks later he is still inside the top 50. This deck tech walks the whole machine: the 25 discard outlets, the payoffs that turn every pitched card into damage, cards, or mana, the real mana curve and draw odds from the average list, a turn by turn game plan, and the competitive Underworld Breach shell. Then the money - the average build is about $684, but almost every card that makes the engine work came out of the same Spider-Man set and costs pennies, so we cover the thirty cent version too. Numbers from EDHREC and prices from Scryfall. 0:00 Intro 0:55 The Rise 2:05 The Discard Engine 4:02 The Numbers 5:44 The Game Plan 7:00 The Budget Build 8:20 The Combo Kill 9:36 The Full Deck Thanks for watching - this is EDHdex, where every deck gets the numbers.
