In order to competet in the FIA GT Championship, Fiat needed a car for it, and since they had a car that could compete in, they decided to do it. They gone to Ferrari and said to them to make many parts or rather take the entire chassis of their flagship model, the Enzo and badge it as a Maserati. And the whole project named MC12 came into it. The car was pretty much the same, however was a bit slower than the Enzo but it still a fast car nontheless. And when it entered in the FIA GT Championship, the MC12 would be a fear competitor, taking on many wins trought it's career.
