Note the frequency and turn the volume down What to listen for: • Bass fades out at the low end = the limit of your subwoofer or a subsonic filter • One area much louder than the rest = a peak, try lowering the bass boost or EQ • Buzzing in doors, trunk lid, license plate or rear deck = loose panels to fix • Pulses that sound smeared or boomy = check the gain and box setup Many car systems and small subwoofers play very little below 30 Hz, so 25 Hz may sound weak.
