Year 2 — Building an Army Before the Bandits Return | Manor Lords (Default Difficulty Template)

Year 2 is all about preparing this settlement before the bandits return. After nearly starving the entire population in Year 1, I’m finally putting some proper planning into crops, food production and making the settlement as self-sufficient as possible. At the same time, we’re building up our military strength. Our retinue has reached 12 soldiers, all upgraded with heavy armour, while the militia continues to grow for the battles ahead. This year we’re also raiding bandit camps for wealth, defending against attacks, expanding the settlement with new homes and establishing trade routes to bring in enough coin to keep investing back into the town. More houses means more workers… but also a lot more mouths to feed.
