Behind the Hits: Jenna Andrews on Rejection, Reinvention & Netflix’s Hitmakers

Send us Fan Mail (https://www.buzzsprout.com/2503753/fa...) Behind the hits, rejection sparked reinvention. Songwriter, vocal producer, and Netflix’s Hitmakers star Jenna Andrews joins me on She Creates Noise to share how getting dropped by a major label became a turning point in her career. From growing up in Calgary to navigating industry gatekeepers, Jenna talks about unreleased songs, protecting her confidence, and finding a new path when her original plan doesn't work as expected We go inside songwriting sessions where emotions run high, explore the vocal production choices that bring a record to life, and hear about songwriting camps where a track must be written, produced, and presented in a single day. Jenna also shares how publishers can support writers and why developing artists requires time, attention, and a team that believes in them. Throughout our conversation, Jenna speaks candidly about anxiety, bullying, and the connection that can come from saying the difficult things out loud. And we talk about Netflix’s Hitmakers: what the show captures about the creative process, what television glamorizes, and what viewers don’t see about life as a songwriter. If you care about women in music, songwriting, vocal production, publishing, and building a sustainable creative career, this conversation is packed with perspective you can use. https://www.instagram.com/thejennaand...
