Webinar: Unlocking Support for Next Generation Energy Storage EIB Project Development Assistance & t

Flow Batteries Europe & ‪@energystorageeurope‬ On 28 September 2026, Flow Batteries Europe and Energy Storage Europe organised an online webinar for members of Flow Batteries Europe and Energy Storage Europe on EU funding and project development support for scaling next-generation energy storage solutions. The webinar explored how storage technology developers can access the European Investment Bank’s Project Development Assistance (PDA) and how this support can help strengthen project maturity, attract further investment and prepare projects for applications to the EU Innovation Fund: the EU’s dedicated instrument to support flagship decarbonised industrialisation and cleantech projects. The session combined an introduction to EIB Project Development Assistance with practical guidance from CLERENS on accessing the Innovation Fund, including upcoming funding opportunities, key evaluation criteria and how PDA can contribute to demonstrating project maturity.
