7-Star Ascension was supposed to preserve the champions we spent years building. But has the implementation drifted too far from the original promise? In this video, I break down how Kabam originally described Ascension, how the 6-Star version delivered player choice, and why I think 7-Star Ascension has become something fundamentally different. We’ll look at: • The original purpose of Ascension • How 7-Star Ascension changed the system • Why Ascension now functions like a new rarity system • The loss of player choice • Champion-specific Ascension materials and RNG • Why traditional rarities sometimes gave players more control • The concerns surrounding 11 Ascension levels • Why I think Kabam should reconsider the system while it is still early I understand why players did not want 8-Stars. Starting over with champions we already awakened, ranked and invested Signature Stones into was never appealing. But did we eliminate the new-rarity chase, or did we move the chase inside our existing 7-Stars? That is the question at the center of this video. I want to hear from you: Has 7-Star Ascension lived up to what you expected? Would you prefer the current system or traditional 8-Stars? If you were able to change one thing about 7-Star Ascension right now, what would you change? Let me know in the comments. It’s the Casual Elder, playing the long game. And remember, it’s just a game.
