https://victorynotes.com 🏈 THROUGH THE RAIN — BYU 17, TCU 10 Twenty years of waiting. One rain-soaked night in Fort Worth. And finally, BYU found a way. “Through the Rain” tells the story of BYU’s gritty 17–10 road victory over TCU on October 3, 2026 — the Cougars’ first win at TCU since 2006. Nothing came easy. Nusi Taumoepeau and Tausili Akana set the tone with early sacks. Kendal Wall stopped Jaden Craig in the open field. Faletau Satuala flipped the field with a 59-yard interception return. Braxton Lindsey and Jake Clifton added two more sacks as the Cougar defense kept answering. Matthias Dunn drilled a 49-yard field goal through the pouring rain. And when BYU needed someone to finish it, Bear Bachmeier delivered. The BYU quarterback ran for both Cougar touchdowns, including the unforgettable 21-yard fourth-quarter score that put BYU ahead 17–7 and inspired the call: “That bowling ball took down all the pins.” BYU recovered TCU’s final onside kick, Bear took a knee, and twenty years of waiting were washed away in the rain.
