We harvested tomatoes at the greenhouse. Mother in-law made a winter preserved called tomato sauce but this is different from the tomato sauce we can find at the supermarket. This is just plain tomatoes blended mixed with other aromatics and canned. No cooking nothing. Just mixing all the ingredients and preserved it. My husband loves this because it's a bit sour. The family also loves to make a tomaso salad. Just tomato and thin slices of onions mixed with olive oil, salt and pepper.
