So, we're playing bingo tonight, which is the thing to do in a holiday park. I have to say it's all very serious. You're not allowed to play this unless you're over 18 and you're supposed to be very quiet. The first time I stayed in one of these bungalows, I was amazed by how much space you have. As you can see from this, this is your living area. There's a couple of sofas. There's a a very decent size TV set. And you also have a a small kitchen area which is perfectly decent to cook for a family for a week and of course your dining room table. At the back of the bungalow you have the sleeping quarters. So it's a very narrow corridor. I'm not sure if Jonny can actually make it through. On the left you have the um the bathroom which is has a shower unit and a toilet but we won't show you that. This is only two beds. So here you have twin beds here and most importantly this is the rather substantial king-size bed that I'll be sleeping on tonight. Good size double bed ensuring a decent night's sleep right by the coast and very affordable. The cafe is another British institution here at Sandy Glade. They have their own cafe and we're having some fried egg sandwich in white bread of course and a mug of coffee. Nescafe. Exactly what I expected. But much more than that, I find holiday camps a very affordable and spacious way of experiencing the area. And this part of Somerset is noted for one absolutely fantastic feature. It's got a brilliant beach and it has the biggest tidal difference between high and low tide in the whole the UK. and apparently the second in the world after Hawaii. Brean Beach is this wonderful expanse of sand. Behind me you can see Brean down which rises up to about 100 meters from sea level. I walked it last time. It takes about two hours to walk up to the top and then to walk all the way down to the Napoleonic forts which were also used in the Second World War to defend these waters from potential invasion. This is a wonderful place to come for a stroll with your dogs or to have a picnic or to have something at the National Trust Cafe just behind me. When you are on holiday camps in the UK, you can always find something around the corner to entertain you. Here we are at Burrow Beach. And where else can you actually drive along the beach? So that's it for our take on the traditional British holiday camp here at Sandy Glade in Somerset. I hope you've enjoyed it. You must have to some extent because you're still with us.
