Lyrics one blustery winter morning while still darkness hung the sky an old man withered and weakened plodded down the old dirt line where he journeyed was no matter his sights were on the prize Snow dripping upon his footprints like hot icing from a pie ohhhh wind rustling brown barren branches sounds of creatures scurrying home didn't sway this man from purpose his pleasure in the roam he plodded one foot to another destination finally found the old man sat and slumbered on the edge of nature's glorious crown oh life's not all sunshine and rainbows aches and pains may try to get us down life's no bed of Roses trials and troubles might beat us to the ground but God presents his promise in the newness of each day he paints his promises in the sunrise breathes in new hope in every way and before his antique rambling watch struck the hour of true dawn the old man peered before him and.in his presence a miracle shone the rainbows of this morning slid across the wakening sky painted pictures on each mountain glistened rivers with its eye life's not all sunshine and rainbows aches and pains may try to get us down life's no bed of roses trials and troubles will beat us to the ground God presents his promise in the newness of each day he paints his promises in the sunrise breathes in new hope in every way the old man sat in wonder to the children he proclaimed listen to my wisdom what I'm about to say never miss a sunrise no matter where you are take time to welcome each new day let your Hopes and dreams take flight and throughout the day as troubles arise that memory will be your guiding light oh life's not all sunshine and rainbows aches and pains will try to get us down life's no bed of Roses trials and troubles will beat us to the ground God presents his promise in the newness of each day he paints his promises in each sunrise breathes new hope in every way God paints his promises in each sunrise and breathes new hope in every way
