(#nazmulhasan) The family of Shakil Islam—a municipal-level leader of the Chhatra Dal in Natore—is outraged over the police's conduct following his murder. They allege that although a complaint was filed at the police station after the initial attack, the police took little to no action. Furthermore, a General Diary (GD) entry regarding threats made against Shakil had been submitted to the police station, but now, no trace of it can be found. The victim’s family, his political associates, and local residents are demanding that the perpetrators—regardless of how influential they may be—be brought to justice. Jamuna Television, also known as Jamuna TV, is a 24-hour news and current affairs television channel in Bangladesh.
