Whelen WPS-2910 | Voice & Alert | Greenbrier, TN

Originally Recorded 7/12/2025 © 2026 Brandon Mendel | Reuse allowed with permission only Last summer, I ended up meeting with R&K_Sirens to record this newly installed 2910 in Greenbrier, a small town between Springfield, Tennessee, and the northern outskirts of Nashville. The big surprise here was the pre-recorded voice message. At first I thought it was live until I listened to the scanner audio. Seems like Whelen has a new voice guy doing their messages. They also sound a notch more crisp than before. Not too far away is a single headed Sterling M. We’re not sure if it was still working before this Whelen popped up. It’s probable the Sterling is kept as a backup. Interestingly, Greenbrier has a totally independent system than nearby Springfield even though it’s in the same county, and has similar Whelens. Greenbrier’s lone 2910 is tested every second Saturday of the month at noon, weather permitting. Nearby Springfield only silent tests their system which, as we all know, works very well all the time /s Enjoy, and as always comment, like, and subscribe for more. Thanks!
