प्रार्थना इसाई जीवनको अभिन्न भाग हो। हामीले परमेश्वर पितालाई प्रभु येशूद्वारा/प्रभु येशूको नाउँमा प्रार्थना चढाउनु पर्छ। प्रार्थनालाई धन्यवाद ज्ञापनको साथ सुरु र अन्त गर्नु नै सबै भन्दा उत्तम र बाइबलीय तरिका हो। धन्यवाद सहितको प्रार्थना नै विश्वासले भरिपुर्ण प्रार्थना हो। जब प्रेरित पावलले झ्यालखानाबाट मण्डलीहरुलाई पत्र लेख्दै हुनुहुन्थ्यो, उहाँले उनीहरुप्रतिको आफ्नो हरेक सम्झनामा परमेश्वरलाई धन्यवाद दिने कुरालाई व्यक्त गर्नुभएको छ। तर धेरै पटक जब हामी जीवनमा सङ्घर्षबाट भएर जान्छौँ, परमेश्वरलाई धन्यवाद दिनु सबैभन्दा गाह्रो कुरा लाग्न सक्छ। यद्धपि, जब हामी परमेश्वरलाई धन्यवादसाथ प्रार्थना गर्छौं, हाम्रो अवस्था/समस्या जस्तोसुकै किन नहोस, परमेश्वरको प्रतिज्ञा हामीमा छिट्टो गरि पुरा हुन्छ। परमेश्वरले वचन सुनाईमा आशिषमा दिनुभएको होस्! Prayer is an important aspect of the Christian life. We should pray to the Father in the name of/through Jesus Christ. Starting and ending prayer with thanksgiving is the best biblical way of starting the prayer. Thanksgiving is a faith-filled prayer. While Paul was writing letters to churches from prison, he mentions that he thanked God in his memory of the churches. But, so many times, when we go through struggles in life, praising God seems the hardest thing.
