Michael Jackson - Billie Jean Live Bangkok 1993 (Aug. 24th) EIP

FANMADE Basically, I wanted to create a video and audio mix on how I think Michael is performing a specific performance we don’t have full video of, but only audio of (and snippets) or simply nothing of those specific performances. In this case: Bangkok, Thailand, on August 24th, 1993 - the first 1993 show INSPIRATION: I used Bangkok (Aug. 27th) and Singapore (Aug. 29th) as the main inspiration for the overall sound; both band and MJ’s vocals. Early 1993 has MJ singing in a lighter tone than 1992 and that’s why I used the ‘92 rehearsals for some of the vocals. I’ll specify what exact things I implemented from these shows under the “Specific Notes” section here in the description. MY IDEA OF THIS PERFORMANCE: If we go by the WBSS footage, Michael is so unfocused and his dancing is probably the worst of the tour. He does at lot of small movements, or lesser executions (with little effort) of the choreography. His improvised dancing is also not that smooth, as if he’s nervous. Bremen 1992 has a ‘sick’ Michael and is the least smooth performance I could find and use for this performance because a lot of his mannerisms and dance executions match Bangkok (except he’s better in Bremen ofc). I used Buenos Aires and Mexico (11.11) to add the 1993 element of the performance, with extras by Bucharest. The overall performance is probably not bad, but would definitely have more of Michael just tapping his foot and not committing fully to the song, as I try to show after the moonwalk section. The mix is just a rough concept on how I’m imagining this performance to look, of course. SPECIFIC NOTES: Notes here are to help understand what specific things I did to get a sound akin to Aug. ‘93 Billie Jean, using Bangkok (Aug. 27th) and Singapore (Aug. 29th) as my main inspirations. I used various stems from ‪@NebulaMJ‬ to create this project as well as isolated stems by me.
