On September 28, 2018, Tony Joe White made his Grand Ole Opry debut. No one knew it would also be his final performance. Backed by the Opry Band, the Swamp Fox tore through “Polk Salad Annie,” then closed with a beautiful rendition of “Rainy Night in Georgia” that brought the crowd to its feet. Eight years later, we’re honored to share this moment with the Grand Ole Opry.
