Built in 1846 by silk merchant and abolitionist Henry Chandler Bowen, this 1800s Gothic Revival villa in Woodstock, Connecticut, remains one of America’s most pristine Victorian estates. Featuring striking pink architecture, intricate gingerbread trim, original 19th-century interiors, and America’s oldest indoor bowling alley, this estate famously hosted four sitting U.S. Presidents for historic Fourth of July celebrations.
