A presentation of Rodney McAuley's Wavy Navy, published for the Apple II in 1983 by Sirius Software. Founded by Jerry Jewell in 1980, Sirius Software had built its reputation on fast-paced action games that pushed the very limits of the Apple II, bringing colorful graphics and arcade-inspired gameplay to a generation of players eager for something beyond the limitations of text-based adventures. The player moves a gun-equipped boat, shooting at formations of enemies. Waves move beneath the boat, causing it to move up and down and influencing how fast you can move from side to side. The enemies are grouped in formations, similar to Galaxian. Some break off and dive at the player's boat. Helicopters take the place of the flagships in Galaxian, sitting atop the rows of planes. Mines also appear in the water. Completing a round by destroying all attackers awards 50 points for each PT boat remaining.
