WDE scenic hydraulic elevator at the World Trade Center Schiphol Airport in Amsterdam

For its travel distance, and especially for being hydraulic, this elevator is quite fast. It does not serve two underground parking levels, where the bottom of the shaft and the hole for the hydraulic piston can be seen. Door locking and unlocking is at least partly facilitated via retiring cams in the shaft. As a sign of a somewhat simple logic, all of those retiring cams always extend and retract simultaneously without any selection for if the cab is present at that floor.
