তৃণমূল দু-ভাগ। মমতা তৃণমূল আর নব তৃণমূল। জোড়া উপনির্বাচনে প্রার্থী ঘোষণা করেছে দু-পক্ষই। কিন্তু জোড়াফুলের প্রতীক কার ভাগে? সেই সিদ্ধান্ত ঝুলে রয়েছে নির্বাচন কমিশনের কাছে। কীভাবে কোনও দল, তার প্রার্থীকে প্রতীক দেয়? এরজন্য লাগে ফর্ম এ এবং ফর্ম বি। ফর্ম এ-তে প্রার্থীর নাম থাকে। তাতে সই করেন সংশ্লিষ্ট দলের সভাপতি বা সাধারণ সম্পাদক। ফর্ম বি-র মাধ্যমে প্রতীক বরাদ্দ করা হয়। তাতেও সই করেন দলের পদাধিকারী। দুটি ফর্মই রিটার্নিং অফিসারের কাছে জমা দিতে হয়। এভাবেই কোনও প্রার্থী দলীয় প্রতীক পান। Trinamool has split into two factions: Mamata’s Trinamool and the new Trinamool. Form A contains the candidate’s name and is signed by the party’s president or general secretary. Through Form B, the party symbol is allotted to the candidate. This form, too, has to be signed by an office-bearer of the party. Both forms have to be submitted to the Returning Officer.
